报告人简介：Senior Lecturer, Department of Limnology and Water Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.
She is a lecturer and researcher in Limnology and Environmental microbiology. She completed a PhD in 2022 at the Department of Hydrology and Water Resource Management, University of Kiel, Germany. Her PhD project was related to ‘Impacts of multiple stressors on algal communities in freshwater ecosystems in rural areas’. In 2017, she completed her MSc in Applied Ecology (Erasmus Mundus joint degree) awarded by University of Poitiers, France; University of Kiel, Germany and University of Coimbra, Portugal. She was awarded DAAD and Erasmus Mundus scholarships for her higher studies. Her main research interests include Limnology, Environmental microbiology, Management and conservation of aquatic systems and Environmental Policy. She published her work in reputed journals like Biological Reviews, STOTEN, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, Aquatic Botany and Hydrobiologia and has about 500 citations from 2021. Currently, she is continuing teaching and research while actively involved in establishing international research collaborations. She also serves as a DAAD research ambassador (2025-2028), supporting academic exchange and research cooperation between Sri Lanka and Germany while advancing DAAD’s mission to promote international collaboration.
